At Zion and Zion, I was the primary graphic designer and art director for their client FASCINATIONS, the Southwest-based novelty superstore. And through my experience I networked and gained professional contacts at FASCINATIONS’ wholesaler, Entrenue, a female-ran and sexual health focused distributor. After my time at Z&Z, I was hired on as a freelance designer to help them and some of the affiliates with branding, catalogs, and websites.
One of Entrenue’s affiliates was a small highway-side novelty shop out of Amarillo who needed help with their branding and website — Fantasy Novelty Superstore. Their new cis-female owner had inherited the business and wanted to rebrand the business to be more inclusive to LGBTQIA+ clients, fem identifying visitors, and to expand to offer products for all levels of ableism.
So we set out on a full rebrand and at first it was just a logo. But like potato chips, FANTASY SuperStore couldn’t have just one (marketing project). Our engagement later expanded to a full website redesign and an annual educationally sex positive social media and billboard campaign.
I showcase this project because it is rare to have this much creative control from start to finish…and also those brand standards to be followed by a client YEARS after the fact.
